Our Level B Training

The BPS Certificate of Competence in Personality Testing (Intermediate) will enable you to make use of a range of major personality questionnaires, both hand-scored and computer-generated. The Level A Certificate is a pre-requisite for undertaking Level B (Intermediate).

The requirements of the BPS are for registration of an initial personality instrument and for this you can choose either the 16PF or the 15FQ. However, we have arrangements with different publishers, providing access to a number of further questionnaires without expensive conversion training. You will gain access to questionnaires from publishers including:

Personality Theory
Methods of Personality Assessment
Introduction to Personality Measurement based upon the 16 Personality Factor questionnaire, the 15 Factor Questionnaire and the Occupational Personality Profile
Profile interpretation and written reports for selection, development and career guidance.
Questionnaire administration, scoring and feedback.
Practical work including assessment for selection, development and career guidance.
Completion of assignments and individual portfolios.

The BPS Certificate of Competence in Personality Testing (Intermediate Plus) will enable you to buy, administer, score, interpret and give feedback using the Jung Type Indicator. This is a modern questionnaire based on the type theory developed by Carl Jung and the work of Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Briggs.
Course content includes:

Introduction to assessment based on the Jung Type Indicator
Profile interpretation and written reports for selection, development and career guidance.
Questionnaire administration, scoring and feedback.
Practical work including assessment for selection, development and career guidance.
Completion of assignments and individual portfolios.
